Well, Last night I spent my time reconfiguring my furniture so I could have a area to do some watercolour. I became inspired after I bought two of Yoshitaka Amano books "Worlds of Amano" (I bought it used $8.00 - great value for a perfect condition!) and "Amano: The Complete Prints of Yoshitaka Amano" which was a little bit more. But this man has the magic touch... I can relate to his style as I like to be free style with the brush. I don't think he draws every detail of his drawing before he paints I think he goes with inspiration and adds little things as he goes along - I can see that.
Thats how I use to paint before my car accident in 1972 (where I was unconsious for two days - having my first near death experience). After that accident I went through a "lonng" dry period where I tried to draw & paint and nothing came - it was very frustrating. Then around 1992 - Yeah 20 years of stick drawing then "Boom!" The pencils & paper came out again and the ufo drawings came, which I uploaded here in deviantART. It was a relief to feel the creativity come back. Then when I started seeing all these new cartoons & comics coming out in all their glory, the images came back into my head. DeviantArt has been a healing time for me and I think all of you have inspired me in different ways -

I've been experimenting with so many different styles & subjects I have had real joy in being here and sharing. Whether or not that car accident did me a injustice of some kind... I thank all of you for being so kind to me. Gee... I think I graduated therapy !!
You know, I really didn't realize all this before I actually started looking at the dates on my art I've kept over the years and I noticed the gaps. I actually had to make a note of the years I had incidents in and I came up with a chronological time table of my life. I couldn't believe 20 years went by that I couldn't create art the way I wanted. I noticed I had spent time working, sewing & raising my son, doing a few cartoons for his enjoyment but nothing superconductive for myself. Now I understand the gaps in so many historic artists lives.
Gosh Thank You DeviantArt for being here

Well I thought it would be interesting if you saw some of my very very very old drawings from the 60's that I use to do in study hall in my teens. I placed the drawings in my "SCRAPBOOK" section as the paper from these drawing are pretty faded & worn. Go to my Gallery and hit the "Scrapbook" section in the top left corner. Enjoy
